Check out the CHANGE keyword. It sets on an indicator if the screen was modified. Of course, if the user changed something, changed it back and pressed Enter, you would still get the change indicator, but it sure is easy to use! In other words, I want to display a screen record, and then monitor if the user has made any changes to the fields. If so, process one way, and if not, process an alternate way. (This is NOT a subfile, simply a displayed screen (record).) I know I can"READ" the screen, but what do I compare it against? In D-Specs can I create a dummy "screen record" using the "LIKE" keyword? (I'm working in RPG-IV, V3R2) TIA, David Stobberingh Nationwide Credit/Phoenix, AZ +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
