The main route is (examples in parantheses):

Obj -> Savf (AS/400: SAVxxx)
Savf -> Pf (AS/400: TAATOOL: CPYFRMSAVF)
Pf -> IFS (AS/400: CpyToPCd)
IFS -> PC-ZIP (CA/400: Map Network Drive, PC: WinZIP)
One AS/400 -> Another (email - Pegasus or other non-MS email client)
. and then back on the new machine.

Ftp can - if you know it - simplify this quite a bit.
