Is there a way to detect the creation of an device

I have an application that would like to know whenever a new
device description is created, but I can find no way to
detect this other than (I suspect, haven't actually tried
this yet) turning on the CRTOBJ audit value and then combing
through QAUDJRN looking for the creation of a *DEVD. This
might work, but I'm looking for something that is a little
more real time.

Does anyone have any ideas?

P.S.(The ideal solution might be an exit point...... Is this
a possibility Bruce?)
