I have created a bat file using notepad to connect to our system and do a
file transter. When I run this it just keeps reopening the bat file over
and over again. I have done this before and when I compare my source to the
previous bat file there is no difference. In fact if I try to recreate the
bat file that works properly I get the same problem. So I must be missing a
step here somewhere and am hoping someone can help me out.

1. open Notepad- create txt file:
                  open 999.999.999.999 (system address)
                  username
                  password
                  get library/file.member c:\file
                  quit
I save this as ftp.txt

2. open Notepad - create another txt file:
                   start ftp -s:ftp.txt
                    exit
I save this as ftp.bat and select close on exit on the properties

Seems pretty simple, and like I said I have a working bat file, I can not
remember anything else that I did.

When I run it it will just keep opening dos windows over & over saying start
ftp.....

HELP!

Thanks Angie
