If you have interactive SQL available, it means you have SQL Dev Kit
installed (5769-ST1). Another part of the Kit is Query Manager. It has
extensive formatting capabilities, similar to Query/400.
In general Query Manager can do everything you can do with Query/400, plus
more.
In particular, you can formulate your query as SQL statement and add
whatever formatting you want.
Just type STRQM and explore ...

SQL/400 is great for interactive queries and displaying data on the
screen, but what if you want to run reports ? There is no ability to do
any kind of report formatting. THe basic report that just lists all the
fields on your "select" is just not enough.
