That's what I do now (since going to V4R2 last September).  Works well for
me - seems to fix a WHOLE lot more issues than it causes.  The cover letters
are supposed to be on the CD as well, although I haven't actually looked.  I
also recommend regularly getting the other group PTF packages relevant to
you - I do that monthly.  Get the cover letter for Information APAR
II10982 - it has the list of group PTF's for each release.
