AS/400 Logical Partitioning -- MIDRANGE-L

Does anyone has any ideas for a new AS/400 feature "Logical Partitioning"?
I'm interested in concept but uncertain for an exact implementation.   Some
question is that ...
a) Can it handle for multiple QDATE, QTIME and any system values?
b) How does it handle for user profiles?  (both single and mixed
partitionings)
c) How does it manage for physical controllers and devices?
d) How does the S/W package (such JBA, JDE, SAP .. ) handle for the user
based license for mixed partitionings with a single s/n of machine?
and ... etc.

Any guesses or ideas would be appreciated.
