I think I misstated what I wanted to say in this last reply.  Your
program (RPG?) is trying to key into a file that has fewer key fields
than the file the program was compiled against. Check that your override
after the OPNQRYF is overriding to the correct file, that the OPNQRYF
includes the correct number of key fields and that you specify
SHARE(*YES) on the override.
