I did indeed do (almost) exactly that - it was Lotus Notes that I had the problem with - which is why I should know better !!! In my own defense, in my IBM version of Notes (4.5) I was able to tailor the mail to include a standard footer as well as the normal header. For some reason I can't find how to do that in the copy of 4.6 that I'm using now. The option was either removed or moved to somewhere that I can't find.
