Thanks for the suggestion Gary but it seems that on the 500 this tape drive sits in a adapter like cage and that cage connected to the back plane providing both power and data through the backplane (where on the 200 it just bolts in a like a PC drive and you connect the power and data cables. >Kevin -- > >Have you checked to see if the "connector" on the drive is really an >adapter.
