Joel, I'm hard pressed to think of a subfile record where we don't use READC and SFLNXTCHG. IMHO opinion, mirroring the subfile in an array sounds like a pre-subfile technique. Now as far as using CHAIN, if a panel has a "position to..:", binary halving thru the subfile is a pretty quick lookup.
