John: I seem to remember having that kind of a problem with old DDC terminals that used to be on a S/36 and moved to a 400... had something to do with the timing tolerances. Essentially, we swapped the DDC terminal with an IBM one and it worked fine. david > I have a client that just cut over to a new 170 Risc box running 4.3.
