Hello Glenn, For what it's worth ... Have you tried creating an SQL procedure for the program? STRSQL (or use QM) and run the CREATE PROCEDURE SQL statement. For example: CREATE PROCEDURE I60TSTU.PUR08C (INOUT CHAR(6) P1, INOUT CHAR(2) P2) EXTERNAL NAME I60TSTU.PUR08C LANGUAGE ???? GENERAL Caveat: Above syntax typed from memory so it may not be entirely accurate. Replace the question marks with the language type. Regards, Simon Coulter. «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» «» FlyByNight Software AS/400 Technical Specialists «» «» Eclipse the competition - run your business on an IBM AS/400. «» «» «» «» Phone: +61 3 9419 0175 Mobile: +61 0411 091 400 «» «» Fax: +61 3 9419 0175 mailto: shc@flybynight.com.au «» «» «» «» Windoze should not be open at Warp speed. «» «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» //--- forwarded letter ------------------------------------------------------- > MIME-Version: 1.0 > Date: Wed, 03 Feb 99 16:20:48 -0500 > From: Glenn-Cons.T.Geathers@am.pnu.com > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Reply-To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: Rumba question > > Can anyone answer this for me? > The message itself is: > > [Wall Data][RUMBA Data Access][IRIS FILES TST]Syntax error or access > violation > > The SQL statement causing the error is: > > Call I60TSTU.PUR08C('I60TST',' ') > > > If I use the RUMBA DRDA-32 Version 1018.02.0000 driver, I can execute the > SQL with no problem. > > If I use the RUMBA AS/400 Optimized Server (32 bit) Version 1018.07.0000 > driver, I get the error.
