Hello Loyd,

Position 135 of the member header ... but that's not really what you were 
asking :)

You need to use either the RTVMBRD command or the QRTVFD API to find this 
information (if you want to stay 
with APIs).  The value is in the FILEATR return variable of the command or the 
Qdbfhfsu field of the API 
format FILD0100.  This API is not for the faint of heart and I would suggest 
you use the RTVMBRD command 
although you may have some special handling in the case of a file with no 
members.  The DSPFD command can 
also be used but I don't remember the particular format necessary.
