Glad that worked for you.

You said "Wouldn't it be simpler if you could put the subfile control record
above OR below the subfile."  If you really mean't "or" then the answer is
that you can.  The subfile control can be anywhere on the screen.  So, put
the Total field in the control below the subfile and just recalc and
display.
