  • Subject: Question on the "good ole" IBM 4234 Printer
  • From: Chuck Lewis <CLEWIS@xxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Folks !

We bought some 4234 printers on the used market. Unfortunately, while
they were supposed to come in with manuals, they didn't and it has been
a LONG time since I worked with these...

My question is on "removing" printed material... The form we have is 8
1/2 inches in length. I press Stop, Eject which feeds the printed form
forward and Start which drops the remaining forms out the bottom of the
printer. So I guessed it doesn't work the same as the 4230 which
repositions the form just FINE... So I press Stop, New Page (twice I
think it was), tear the printed form off and press Start. This wastes 2
forms and these are preprinted, 3 part carbonless forms and this COULD
get expensive

Is that the "nature of the beast" with these things our is there
something "manual-less" me is missing ?

Thanks !

Chuck
