Hi folks, New Orleans COMMON'98 was an eye-opener for me as to the benefits of professional networking. However, working from India, i find little or no avenues of such fruitful interaction. I am not sure if any viable, active Local Users Group on AS/400 exists in our region. Maybe its time to think about starting out on one...... ....i guess even on this list itself we have a sizeable participation from this region. I am sure even COMMON would like to leverage this opportunity to garner more memberships from this region. Any suggestions on this is most welcome..... Your best bet is to join a user group which is a member of COMMON. Some user group fees are less than COMMON, plus you get the benefit of regular educational meetings, professional networking, etc. I believe the NEWS/400 web site has a list of groups. Check it to see if one is in your area At 09:52 AM 1/21/99 -0600, you wrote: > > Just a question for those in the know...... > > It appears that fall '99 will be in San Antonio, TX.
