  • Subject: HP IIIsi (don't laugh) and AS/400

Hi Folks,

Dealing with what I have (plans to replace as SOON as things free up
from our upgrade !) and am trying to attach an HP IIIsi via a terminal
to the AS/400. I've tried it with a Decision Data and an IBM 3487 with
no luck. Latest attempt on the 3487 I set the printer up as a 3812 on
the terminal and used the HPIII***** selection. It creates as a 5219 on
the AS/400, vary's on OK and let's me start the writer. Asks me to load
forms and then gets a CPA4018 "Operator action required on device". This
is the same thing I get on the Decision Data. I delete and recreate the
device on the AS/400 as a 3812 and that doesn't help either. I've had no
problem with HP IV's , IV +'s and HP 5's...

Anyone know something I might be missing ?

Thanks,

Chuck
