>I have an IBM 6412 w/IBM IPDS (so it says...) >can i print postnet barcodes with this printer? >If so care to explain how? You can print barcodes on an IPDS capable printer if you create a printer file that uses the BARCODE DDS keyword. When you create the PRTF, specify DEVTYPE(*IPDS) Be aware that you may be able to easily print postnet barcodes, but you'll need to sort that mail properly: not an easy task. Call your local USPS business office if you haven't already. There are commercial packages (Group One comes to mind) that handle sorting mail properly.
