Essentially, it seems that with R1M2 of CA/400 and the NT/95 client > the default is to not translate this data.......at least with the PTF level > I'm at.... files with ccsid of 65535 are created using the crtpf, instead of dds. so the file could contain anything. why the default is to convert it to something unusable is beyond me.. v3r1m3 had a property to convert this data, which makes it easier. but what you can do is either build a dummy dds for the file, and copy your data into it, or key a file into the windows folder to force the conversion. i don't have it handy, but search dejanews, i bet it's on there a dozen or more times.. (search for 65535 and force) nj
