In the RPG program itself you can rename the formats. I have not it a few
times, I will tell you how I think it is done from memory, so it may not be
100% correct. Use IPFK (In the numbers of the RPG source). Then put in the
format name on the left side after the K put RENAME, then what you want the
new format name to be.

Note: You can also use this format to IGNORE formats if you are not using
some of the formats.

I went back an reread your post and if you mean you have a LF with formats
of FORMAT1 and FORMAT1 each looking at different PF. You could change the LF
to have different format names. Note if the LF format name is not the same
as the PF format name you would have to list the fields if the LF from the
PFs.
