     OK, here's the poop....

     One of my associates showed me a problem with Office Vision
     database merge feature. After our Y2K conversion, she started
     having problems with importing and printing 8p dates. There was no
     way to get OV400 to edit that field so that it would display as
     mm/dd/yyyy. If you declare the import field as a numeric date
     field, the only editing options seem to be for 6-digit date
     formats. She was VERY disappointed by this. I must say I was a
     little surprised that OV400 was SO WEAK that it couldn't even
     handle something as simple as standard date field editing. I don't
     even recall seeing a way to define an edit word for plain numeric
     import fields either.

     Did we just miss something, or did OV400 get left for dead by IBM?

     TIA
