This might be a little off topic but here goes. I am trying to automate
the download of some files from the AS/400 using FTP. I chose FTP
because I don't see the need to chew up a Client Access license for this
application. I am having problems logging on to the AS/400 FTP server
using a text file as a script. I keep getting invalid command messages
when I attempt to use the USER and PASS subcommands. I have tried this
using the Windows NT 4.0 FTP client as well the Windows '95 client.

the script looks something like this:
open 254.254.254.254
USER user
PASS password
cd/qdls/folder
lcd f:\directory
get test.txt
quit

Can anybody tell me where I am going wrong?
