I feel I must put my 2 cents in. I can only comment on Aldon's CMS. I implemented and currently Administate Aldon's CMS. The interface is very nice and consistent. The product is extremely immature as far as converting RPG's to ILE they really missed the bus on this one. I had reported a bunch of short comings (bugs) in this area. The response I received when reporting these bugs was that since there were work arounds (changing where I wanted to store my RPG ILE members and increasing the size of alll my current RPG source physical files so they could accomodate OPM and ILE source) they would not be fixing these bugs in the next 2 releases. Which for my shop is way to little to late. I am forced to change the way I am storing my source so there product will work for ILE conversion. On a better note they are in the process of addressing this issue only because of a new product (code named TAMALPAIS) that is a client server application which is a CMS for a PC databases as well and will be integrated with the AS400 CMS. That product looked really impressive. Also another note is do not buy Respone manager as they originally marketed as a product that seemlisly interfaces to CMS to collect and log program requests and create projects from (not true at all). They are giving up on that. The future for them is to use Lotus Notes log Problems and create projects in CMS from that. I haven't seen the Beta's yet, if they exist. I do not know if it will actually truly cooperate with CMS project creation or maintenance. Overall the product works well for us especially the distribution end. which was currently overhaulled for functionality in version 6.1. Like the other products there are some quirky bugs here and there and some short comings, but over all I give it a thumbs up.
