I'm too old to switch and still be useful as a programmer. Still, I feel there is a change going on. You've heard me talk about beginning to use Visual Age RPG for applications and I am more convinced then ever that this is a tool that is useful now, today, for us dyed in the wool RPG grunts. I am amazed how quickly major pieces of an application can be put together, and how excited the users get when they see their data in ways they've never seen it before. In other words, I think there may be a useful middle road we can travel. The road to java doesn't have to be a leap from the RPG cliff to the Java shoals, it can be a transition.
