It is typically used for reports, but has great flexibility because the "select" and "sequence" parts can be specified at run time (as dynamic as SQL). It pretty much supplants FMTDTA these days because of that. If you are still interested in samples of OPNQRYF, email me directly so I don't clutter the list. If you decide to use OPNQRYF, perhaps we can send the sample code to David for inclusion on his website...
