To all AS/400 Gurus, Lovers ........

Since most of you exclaiming that AS/400 is a great machine, what are 
your advise to someone who is trying to be AS/400 ....... like you all 
are, another word newbies, barely came out of a cave, what would be the 
recommendations in terms of:

Books, resources (anything on the net, education, instructions), etc.

What would be a good place for help and advise?

Since AS/400 has so many files, how do you distinguish which is 
temporary and which is permanent?

I sincerely appreciate you all for advise because I am only two weeks 
old with AS/400.
