Just for FYI...
To have control over the CPI for the Remote out queues, you need to change
the Font identifier in the printer file attributes to *CPI. This solved my
problem.

Hi Everyone (Brad),
     When I try printing  on a remote printer, I am not able to have
control over CPI (Characters per inch), and LPI (lines per inch), but the
local printer is printing it in the format I want. The remote printer is
chopping off the starting and ending characters. And even the font size is
bigger than what I specified.
I have changed the page rotation attribute for the printer file as 0 to
make it print in portrait format, It looks fine on the local one, But
remote printer doesn’t listen to me.
     Hey Brad, I was just looking at the mail you posted on 02/26/98 about
the same problem, where you mentioned about some  Work station
customization objects ( WSCST).. I tried looking at your web page I
couldn’t find anything about WSCST.   What are these WSCST??? :-(
     I am really stuck, your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

It's not more difficult, but it does take time to learn.  You are going
to want to use workstation customization objects (WSCST) for your remote
printers to control things such as font, CPI, LPI, etc.

I have two examples of WSCST objects on my webpage if you want to take a
look.  They are for an HP5si.  One allows regular 8.5x11 printouts
landscape and the other prints them on 11x17 paper.

     made, correct?

     It doesn't seem like many people are doing this type of thing.
     Maybe it's because it's more difficult than using IPDS.
