- The AS/400 is an EBCDIC machine when most other computers uses the ASCII 
caracter set
- The AS/400 interface that work well is of the green screen type. The GUI 
parts that were added are so so
- The AS/400 is a business computer. So it is not good at CPU intensive jobs
- Hooking up an AS/400 to a scale or some other kind of devise is anyting but 
obvious
