Client Access V3R2 Service Pack -- MIDRANGE-L

I recently installed client Access V3R2.  As we know, this was a refresh
that was generally available between September 11 & 25, depending on
your rev of OS/400.  While on the Client Access web site, I happened to
check on service packs.  Can someone explain why there is already a
service pack (SF50134) out for this version?  Interesting to note that
the service pack has an earlier date (Sept 8, 98) than the release!!!!
WHAT GIVES ???
And I paid money for this software.......
