SNDDST is the link between AS/400 "stuff" and the e-mail world. Properly configured, after a CPYSPLF, you can send that report to anyone. I send select QSYSOPR messages to my digital cell phone via this method. Works great, however any internet delays are out of our control. Have sent spool files to sales people on the road ad-hoc and intend to write a utility to monitor an OUTQ via a data queue to regularly send them their reports. No need to buy a utility unless you prefer the flexibilty and ease of implementation they offer. Check out the Office/400 manuals-- there's an example program (in COBOL... *sigh*) that will convert a spool file to an OV/400 document which can then be Emailed. The program works great; it may be fun finding the COBOL compiler, but I don't see any reason you couldn't translate the program to RPG...
