Rob, This was sent in reply to your earlier posting. Here it is
     again.....
     --------------------------
If you found it in your redbooks, you should have found some pretty
     good
example on how to do it to.

     Here's the basic gist.

Your CL will look somthing like this...

     OVRDBF FILE(INPUT) TOFILE(&PLIB/QFTPSRC) MBR(&MBRI)
     OVRDBF FILE(OUTPUT) TOFILE(&PLIB/QFTPSRC) MBR(&MBRO)
     FTP RMTSYS(&IP)
     DLTOVR FILE(INPUT OUTPUT)

&PLIB is the library that contains the source physical file
     QFTPSRC. &IP is
the IP address or DNS name that you are connecting to.

&MBRI is a member you create which contains the FTP scripts. It
     should look
     something like this...

     username password
     ascii

     cd /home/ftp/guest
     put spanky.txt
     close
     quit

&MBRO is an output file that is created by the system that contains
     the
informational message sent by the FTP job.

The only "gotcha" that I have run across is that if you are going
     to submit
the CL program that runs the FTP command to batch, it must be
     compiled to
used the default activation group (this only applies if your CL
     program is
     type CLLE).

     Hi,

The problem I have might seem trivial to all you AS-400 guru's out
     there.
How can I automate a transfer via FTP-put from our AS-400 to our
     UNIX box.
Manual FTP works fine, but Red Book 78 (TCP/IP) say's it can be
     done through
FTP-script from whitin a CL program. Since my knowledge of the
     AS-400 is
second to none I beg of you : Is there someone out there who is
     willing to
     help me PLEASE ?
