ALCOBJ and OPEN occurs? -- MIDRANGE-L

Hi all,
If I have an RPG program (PGM1) that runs continuously but only
periodically OPENS a file (hypothetically named - ADDFILE) when it is
required that records be added to it.  What would happen if I have an
occasional running CLP that has obtained a LOCK using the ALCOBJ on the
(ADDFILE), and while this CLP has an exclusive lock on the file, (PGM1)
attempts to OPEN the file.
What will happen in the PGM1 when this occurs?  If the answer is that it
errors out, what is the best way to handle this?
