Based on how this is worded, I'd do these things:

In the Calculation lines I'd SETON an indicator and then test to see if I had a 
certain kind of record.  If I did have it, I'd SETOF the indicator.  I'd 
condition the page overflow header lines with that indicator, on or off, 
depending on my desires.  

Additionally, don't worry about reading or not reading the record.  It'll be 
read - the cycle requires that.  The overflow will take care of itself.  That 
is the beauty of the cycle; there are a lot of things you just don't need to 
deal with.
