Hello Jorge, Just a warning; VCPs also run when the command is used in a CL source member in SEU. That may mean that the programmer writing the program will receive the error even though the run-time user may be properly authorised. The program also will not compile if the VCP's checks are not satisfied. It is usually not good practice to use a VCP to check for things which will only be true when the program runs (e.g., checking for object existence) Regards, Simon Coulter. //---------------------------------------------------------- // FlyByNight Software AS/400 Technical Specialists // Phone: +61 3 9419 0175 Mobile: +61 0411 091 400 // Fax: +61 3 9419 0175 E-mail: shc@flybynight.com.au // // Windoze should not be open at Warp speed. //--- forwarded letter ------------------------------------------------------- > Date: Mon, 19 Oct 98 14:36:01 -0400 > From: jmoreno@militarycars.com > To: midrange-l@midrange.com > Reply-To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: ##EMailNumber 01-WNY-5818141 Re: QSYSOPR Messages > > Try a Validity Checker Program for the DSPMSG command. > > Retrieve the User Profile, validate this User Profile ... > AND IF the value of the Message Queue > is QSYSOPOR or *SYSOPR send a *ESCAPE Message to the > previous Invocation Level > > Hope this Helps Jorge +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
