Tim,

Since the SBMJOB will create a new job, the override will not be carried
from your interactive session to the new one, and you will have to
specify it again.

A way to do this without a CL would be to call the QCMDEXC API with the
override command, then open the file in question. Declare the file with
the USROPN keyword.

I guess I would have to ask why you are specifying OVRSCOPE(*JOB) in the
first place. If it is a way of trying to get around activation groups,
it will work as a quick fix, but I wouldn't reccomend it for the long
term. I would set up the system to work with the defined activation
groups.

I have only had to use the OVRSCOPE(*JOB) keyword in rare instances
where I am calling an OPM program and the CLLE program that runs in a
named AG that performs and OPNQRYF calls this OPM program. Very soon I
will simply change the OPM to an RPGLE object and compile the programs
to run in the *CALLER AG. I may even change the command default to
specify *CALLER, and if I need to specify a named or *NEW AG then I will
simply prompt on the command.
