Steven, 1. Save the file into a *savf. 2. Create a PF (without DDS) rec. len. 528. 3. Create (write & compile) a program to copy the file (the *savf to PF). The program uses input and output PFs 528 bytes rec. len. 4. OVRDBF for the input file to *savf. 5. Run the pgm. 6. The output file contains in every record 2 flds a. 512 bytes - the object saved. b. 16 bytes - reserved. 7. CRTDUPOBJ of the file you need to undelete its recs. 8. Write, create & run a pgm to copy the data in 512 bytes fld into the file (7) above. 9. Deleted records will appear the 1'st byte changed to indicate a deleted record. 10.Replace the deletion code by the genuine byte. 11.EOJ.
