Hello All , I have come across a problem with OPNQRYF command. Problem : I have 2 files - BFILE, CFILE, both having only one field. BFILE has a field "DATE" which is an L- type. and CFILE has a field "DATE1" which is 10 char. in CL pgm i use - OPNQRYF FILE((BFILE)) FORMAT(CFILE) MAPFLD((DATE1 DATE)) IGNDECERR(*YES) OPNID(QRYFILE) CPYFRMQRYF FROMOPNID(QRYFILE) TOFILE(CONDZS/CFILE) + MBROPT(*REPLACE) FMTOPT(*DROP *MAP) BFILE has ISO dates. After running this CL program, CFILE has data which is *MDY of DATE ( in bfile) with "/" as a sep. ie if DATE = 1998-01-02 , then DATE1 is getting a value 01/02/98 . SOmebody please explain me................ I appreciate all ur help. thanks in Advance, bye, Sreedhar _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
