Subject: AS/400 System Handbooks

Is anyone else out there as infuriated as I am about the price increase 
for the AS/400 System Handbooks for V4R3 ?

In Canada the price went from $8.10 to $36.00 !!!   A whopping 444% 
increase !!!

What is REALLY annoying though is that the internal IBM price dropped 
from $8.10 to $4.10
I guess all IBM's customers/consultants/business partners are now 
subsidising the reduced price for IBM internal use !

Don't they understand that for the most part the System Handbook is 
used to MARKET the AS/400 ?
What kind of message does this price increase send out ?   Is this some 
bean counters idea ?

I'll have to ask Al if I can use the word "SUCKS" to describe the new 
pricing at COMMON Sound Off next week.
