  • Subject: DSPJOB open files display?

Hi All,
I was running a job where we were updating a large file using a logical
that is built over the file, but when I checked the open files area of
the DSPJOB the number in the column under "I/O Count" was fluctuating
from high to low to high to low... it would go from 3000 to 176 then to
8569 then to 632, I thought this was supposed to just reflect the number
of records processed in a legitimately ascending manner? What
understanding am I lacking in this area? I do understand the 'Relative
Record" number column fluctuating. Any ideas appreciated.
