Hi all, This topic is great ! Sharing my experiences ....... There is one more thing that you may consider ... Fragmentation of the Batch Run. Consider running More than one Batch Job. (One, two, three, ... etc) Use the OVRDBF with Database cursor positionning. (No need to use SETLL opcode) Use a parameter to indicate the Last record to be Read by the High level program Use Data Base Files for Read Only (Use NBR of RCDs and SEQONLY values) and submit the Updates to a DataQ Job How about some Matching record Processing (Read Only) .... I Bet you there is nothing faster ! Just my 2 cents ..... Good Luck to you JORGE. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
