John,
We are using the AS400 to real-time process credit card transactions via
satellite to our main office and from there to VisaNet. The programs are
all written in RPG/400 or RPG IV using ICF files for communications between
the main office and the stores.

Is anyone out there doing credit card processing off the 400
directly.
Either in a store and forward manner or real time. What are you
using, do
        you like it, etc.

        thanks,

        john
