BOY wasn't that the good ole days ? We had a plant in St. Louis (us in Indianapolis) that needed to add additional devices and there 5394 was maxed out. We were looking at adding a 2nd drop for an additional 5394 and I ran across something from Black Box called an RS-232 line sharer. Couldn't find ANYONE back there that was using one but LUCKILY I was headed to Common. I ran into a guy from the IBM Communications lab in Rochester and told him what I was looking at. He said there should be NO problem with this working and that they were using all kinds of stuff like that. We ended up saving a TON of money on monthly leased line charges...
