        Ash... We are doing this, however there have been times when the
files in question "swell" to an unusually large size and then thousands
of records are deleted. The space is made available for new records, but
there are MB's of space that will never be filled again because of the
unusual event that occurred. 

        Some of the files I'm talking about are up to 8GB in size with
40,000,000+ records and 10-15 logical views over them.... Yikes!!!!!

        You can see why I'm trying to find an alternative to RGZPFM.

        I have read that I could remove the logical files and then do a
RGZPFM. The manual said that it would run much faster, but my concern is
that it will still take a VERY LONG time to recreate the logical
views....
