This makes me wonder. Everyone is demanding Y2k compliance certification and/or testing from their vendors. How about a disaster recovery plan? Does SSA have one for BPCS? Can other software providerss that you do business with meet these conditions? I don't remember the contact information, but there was a company out of Canada called "Quantum" that would externalize your display and physical files for you (not without some work, but it was GREAT).
