We have an FTP client product that allows you to run individual FTP commands just like CL commands from within your own programs, complete with variable parms and MONMSG capability. You also get the ability to scan remote directories, control file naming and formatting "on the fly" etc. If you to look at it go to www.softwarejungle.com. We're also about to release an IP based object distribution product that will let you send programs, libraries, files etc directly to remote AS/400's. How do I account for the USER ID and PASSWORD? I'm trying to automate the transfer as much as posible. Currently we are using the Broderick file transfer programs to send the files and it seems to be working just fine. We also need to submit a job on the remote system after the file is sent. is there a command for that as well? I just thought it would be nice to utilize the speed of our TCP/IP connection between the two systems.
