Many thanks to those whose earlier email inspired me to use this. I've been using SNDDST. Frustrations with SNDDST include the mandatory Subject line that is ignored, this is a bug in my mind. Also lack of formatting on a simple message. I've received some sample RPGLE code from one of the Redbook authors and it is a start. Thanks to Patrick Townsend for pointing out that QtmmSendMail is in the service program QTMMSNDM. I've wrote the books people that this should be included in the manual. This was my first RPGLE program that I bound a service program into. (Good thing I am in the middle of taking that ATS RPGLE course!) The problems I am having are twofold. Problem 1) Getting the QSYS system file into the IFS. I used CPYTOSTMF. However when I opened the file using Notepad it was all hieroglyphics. What options should I be using on the CPYTOSTMF command? Problem 2) Format of the file to send. At first I typed in 'Hi ya' in the IFS file using Notepad. I never received the email. Then I typed in: From: rob@dekko.com To: rob@dekko.com Subject: Test This is a test. I received the From, To and the subject. (Tangent, both of the rob@dekko.com got translated into Rob Berendt/DEKKO@DEKKO when it came into my Notes.) I never received the body of my message. Am I missing some keyword such as Body:?
