I have this vision of a runaway program chewing up all available disk space late some night. I think a nice enhancement to OS/400 would be to let you set the SIZE parameter as part of the response. Or let you CHGPF SIZE() while the file is in use. Give the error a 'Retry' and you can let the operator go to lunch instead of extending the file by little bits and pieces forever. --Paul E Musselman PaulMmn@ix.netcom.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
