Recently spotted about a thousand records deleted from a work file that
has the yellow line of the critical path striped up one and down the other
side.

But I remembered a command in QUSRTOOLS that recovered these, and found
the RTVDLTRCD command. Voila! So we tried to run it, and it immediately
issued a fatal error indicating the 'recover to' file already existed. So
we deleted the file and tried again. This time it ran, and we left for
the evening. In the morning, the joblog of the abend indicated the 'recover
to' file was required. There also was another message that indicated too
big a file could not be recovered (and this one was well over 30 million
records).

What is the real problem? By the way, we were able to recover the records
via another path we had archived. If needed, I could get the exact
messages from the joblog.

Dan Rasch - because if the human species concentrated on the really
important things in life, there would be a shortage of fishing poles!
