Eric,

I think that you specify the port you want in the "remote printer queue"
parameter. If I remember correctly, you put RAW in this parameter if it is
port 0, RAW1 for port 1, etc. We had a three port box that we had the same
problem with. We were only doing remote output queues at the time. This may
be different with a *LAN device.

I got this idea after looking at the manual for the HP JetDirect EX Plus.

Good luck,
Mark Welte

Subject: HP Jetdirect EX Plus

I am trying to set up two printers on a two port HP JetDirect EX Plus. Has
anyone done this? I have tried creating *LAN TCP/IP printer devices with
the different port numbers (i.e. 9101, 9102, 9103) and I have tried to add
the port number to the I-Net address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:XXXX in the devd. I
can not get the printer to work on the second port. All output always goes
to the first port.
We are on version 4.1 on a 620 e-series. Also, I have found that I
always
have to setup a remote outq when I create a *LAN printer device. Is this
normal or am I missing something. Assistance is greatly appreciated.
 Thanks.
